Seek Him for Joy

But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.

– Psalm 5:11

I love the book of Psalms . . . I had always heard it referred to as “Song of Psalms” and I can see why, it seems like every chapter is a song of praise to our Father!

​I was reading Psalms aloud to my mother yesterday and it made her smile a little. ​

We are told over and over to seek Him, to pray to Him. and still we can miss one of prayer’s great gifts to us—supernatural joy.

This joy is not based upon circumstances (either good or bad); it is for those who are willing to seek after God.  (see? Seek Him!)

The Psalms are filled with the claim that those who are after God will find Him, and in that place of finding is great joy.

The challenge in our busy world is to make the time to take refuge in prayer, but the benefits are life changing.
