In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.
- Matthew 6:9-13
We are taught from a very young age to pray. We are even given the words to use.
Do you notice in this prayer, the emphasis on God? Hallowed be HIS name. HIS kingdom. HIS will.
I don't know about you, but even though I was taught this specific prayer when I was little, I didn't learn how to pray until I was much older.
We should take everything to God in prayer. Our praises, our gratitude, our hopes and dreams.
God loves it when we sing His praises and thank Him for what he has given us.
Just remember, when we are praying for specific things, it is HIS will that shall be done.
Have a blessed day!
