Do
not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and
wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
- 2 Corinthians 6:14
This one is going to be a difficult topic and I am fairly
confident that I will get some negative feedback.
I know of several couples that are already established, where
one is a believer and the other is not.
A husband and a wife are supposed to be a single unit, how can
they be if one follows Jesus and the other mocks Him?
This is not the first mention of equally yoked in the Bible, and
it seems to me that the important lessons are repeated several times over.
What do you do when your loved ones are non-believers?
You can’t just cut them out of your life, you have to pray for
them.
I pray for my friends (and family!) that are non-believers, I
want to think that they will come to Christ with (sometimes not so gentle)
nudging.
If you are in a relationship where you are not equally yoked, I
pray for you.
Hopefully your family (and mine) will stop mocking God and see
Him for the Light that He is.
Have a blessed day!
