David also
said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be
afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail
you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD
is finished.”
- 1 Chronicles 28:20
- 1 Chronicles 28:20
Be strong and be courageous.
The Bible says these words (or a variation thereof) 11 times.
Song reference!
We were made to be courageous
We were made to lead the way
We could be the generation
That finally breaks the chains
We were made to be courageous
We were made to be courageous
We were made to lead the way
We could be the generation
That finally breaks the chains
We were made to be courageous
We were made to be courageous
We were warriors on the front lines
Standing, unafraid
But now we're watchers on the sidelines
While our families slip away
Standing, unafraid
But now we're watchers on the sidelines
While our families slip away
Where are you, men of courage?
You were made for so much more
Let the pounding of our hearts cry
We will serve the Lord
You were made for so much more
Let the pounding of our hearts cry
We will serve the Lord
We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight
This week, my church family and I laid to rest a beautiful
woman, who fought an 11 year battle with cancer.
That woman was the epitome of courageous.
Even through all her pain, she always smiled, she never
complained and she always served.
I did not realize to what level she went to ensure that others were
comfortable and more importantly, others found God.
If she can bring people to the Lord in the midst of her
suffering, what is stopping us from doing the same?
What is going on in your world, that you need to be strong and
be courageous?
Stand up and make a difference.
You can do it, I know you can.
Have a blessed day!
