But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!

Habakkuk had a vision, where he asked the Lord how long he needed to cry for help before God would listen.

I am sure that we all feel that way sometimes, how often do we pray for something, beg God, try to make deals with God, just wanting answers.

In his vision, God told Habakkuk to write down His answers so that he could share it with others.

God told Habakkuk that the time would come when his questions would be answered, that the truth of God’s plan would be revealed, but here is the catch – the answers would come in God’s timing, not Habakkuk’s. 

It is quite the same with us, God’s answers will come, but it’s in His timing, not ours.

We may want a lot of things, and God will answer, we just have to be patient, and we have to understand that we may not get the answer that we want, but that is a verse for a different day.
