passport

Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

- Hebrews 10:22 (NLT)

Right into the presence of God.
Back in the days after Moses led the people out of Egypt, only certain people were allowed to go right into the presence of God.
The Old Testament has very specific instructions that only the high priest was allowed to enter the Holy of Holies, the Inner Sanctuary, where God was said to reside on earth, and only on specific days after specific rituals.
When Jesus died on the cross for us, He gave us a “passport”, He gave us a clear path to go to the presence of God.
We don’t need to perform specific rituals or wear special clothing, nor do we have to wait until a certain day to seek God.
We can come just as we are, the broken, the wounded, the very worst of us are allowed in the presence of the Lord, because of the passport that Jesus gave us.
Don’t wait.
Clear your conscience, confess your sin, repent, and go.
After you go, tell everyone of the glory of God so they can get their passport too.
