I have a bit of an obsession with royalty.
I don’t know why, I am just fascinated to know the people behind the crown, the throne, the title.
They are people too, no matter what position they hold.
But there are certain rules that must be followed when in the presence of royalty, always stand when they enter a room, never turn your back to them, do not touch or invade their personal space without a clear invitation.
It is even protocol to wait for the royal host to start the meal before you eat, and when the royal is finished eating, so are the guests.
So many rules!!
Everywhere we go, we need permission to do certain things, even when royalty is not involved.
Thankfully, we do not need permission to enter the throne room of our King.
We are free to bring Him every worry, every fear, every joy that we have, and all He asks in return is that we serve Him.
Not serve Him like the wait staff at your favorite restaurant but serve Him by putting aside your own wants and needs and truly do His work.
