suffering

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
– 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

Do you sometimes feel like you are going through a a whole lot of bad things?
Sometimes these terrible things have even been caused by our own carelessness and sometimes they were not.
We need this powerful reminder that even though our sin is great, the power of Christ’s death and resurrection is even greater.
No matter what we are going through, no matter what caused it, we belong to Him.
We may be able to see this about ourselves, but can we see this in others?
You become an agent of God’s mercy when you remind brothers and sisters that our new life in Christ is greater than our mistakes.

Have a blessed day!
