The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those
living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
– Isaiah 9:2
In just a few more days, we will be celebrating the birth of
Christ.
There will be families getting together, gifts exchanged and way
too much food eaten.
But we need to remember that not everyone is celebrating.
We all go through dark times - personal struggles, health
issues, family members suffering from incurable diseases – sometimes it feels
like we are the only person on earth that knows this pain, and we wonder if it
is ever going to end.
In these moments of sadness and hurt, let’s also remember that
the birth of Christ means that Jesus’ light came to illuminate our soul.
In the middle of our suffering, remember that Jesus is the great
light that we need in order to know how to go forward in the midst of the
hardship of life.
Quick song reference:
In the middle of my little mess, I forget how big I’m blessed.
Let’s not forget how big we are blessed.
Have a blessed day.
