The year 2025 has certainly brought its share of challenges, but one thing I’ve learned for sure is that being “unplugged” is truly good for my soul. I used to keep my phone with me at all times, constantly checking it and replying to work emails and requests—long after my workday should have ended. I worried that if someone needed me, I wouldn’t be available.
Then, I took a vacation where I had no cell service. It was glorious. I rediscovered some valuable lessons I had forgotten. Now, I begin each day with a few quiet minutes of prayer and reflection, inviting God into my heart and asking Him to work through me. I ask for His peace and for His will to be done. When we have God’s peace, we truly find rest for our souls.
