We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and
sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the
love all of you have for one another is increasing.
– 2 Thessalonians 1:3
We are the church.
Think about that for a moment.
We are not a brick and mortar church, but still we are the
church.
There are many measurements to determine the success of a
church, some of the main measurements deal with the number of people attending
on Sunday and how big the offerings are.
We can’t use those calibrations to determine the health of the
people as the church.
God cares more about the measure of our faith and our capacity
to love each other in tangible ways.
What would happen if we adopted these benchmarks in our everyday
life?
We may find some brick and mortar churches that appear healthy
and successful are not, while others stand tall in the eyes of God.
Be a church that stands tall.
Have a blessed day!
