Now this I know: The Lord gives
victory to His anointed. He answers him from His heavenly sanctuary with the
victorious power of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

As much as we pledge our trust in the LORD, it
often takes challenging events to take our trust off of our abilities and put
them upon God.
This is extremely uncomfortable for those of us
who live under the myth of that we can control our circumstances, but God is
faithful to shake off our self-sustaining illusions to a place of beautiful
surrender.
Note to self: stop being a control freak!
